to a clinic of my own
The Foundation
My journey in dentistry began with a merit seat under the government-aided quota at CSI College of Dental Sciences and Research, Madurai, for my Bachelor of Dental Surgery.
Living as a hosteler, I gelled easily with people from every walk of life and cherished every part of college life. But the deeper lesson came from sharing a compound with a functioning mission hospital — watching an institution deliver top-tier education while still serving the most underprivileged in the community, with dignity and without compromise.
Early Struggles in Chennai
After graduation I moved to Chennai to start my career, and the city quickly taught me what real life was about.
- The Grind —I started as a full-time junior doctor earning ₹4,000 a month. It was an incredibly hard, challenging phase — and it forged my work ethic.
- Community Dentistry —Growth came when I was appointed Camp Doctor in the Community Dentistry Department at Thai Moogambigai Dental College, Mogappair, Chennai.
- Guiding Young Minds —My role was to organize and run dental camps — leading young dental students into underserved communities to provide care. It remains one of the most fulfilling chapters of my career.
The Rise of Stunning Smiles
In 2015, I took a leap of faith and established StunningSmiles Dental Clinic in Anna Nagar West Extension, Chennai. Through every clinical and business high and low, I've run the practice for over a decade.
